Short CV: Dr. Balakrishnan is a Distinguished Professor at McMaster University. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and also an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Communications in Statistics and serves as an editorial board member of a number of journals including Statistical Methods in Medical Research, International Statistical Review, Probability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences, Metrika, and Methodology and Computing in Applied Probability. He has received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from The National University of Athens, Greece.
